Abstract：Since the implementation of medical and health system reform in 1980s, China has undergone several reforms with unsatisfactory results. International experience shows that medical social work is not only a symbol of the modernization of medical and health services in a country, but also a sharp tool to promote the reform of medical and health care system. However, due to various reasons, the knowledge system and practice framework of medical social work localization have not been formed in China so far. In this context, it is of great practical significance to dig into the core meaning of Bourdieu′s social practice theory and explore the practical logic and construction path of medical social work in China, so as to deepen the reform of medical and health system and promote the localized development of medical social work.
