Abstract:Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a metabolic disease with increasing prevalence and mortality year by year. Its occurrence and development have brought enormous challenges to global public health. Metabonomics can detect metabolic changes in vivo before and after T2DM treatment and identify effective metabolites, so as to evaluate or predict the therapeutic effect, infer the therapeutic mechanism and provide new ideas for the treatment of T2DM. Therefore, this article reviews the metabonomics and its application in the treatment of T2DM with drug, bioactive food component, bariatric surgery and exercise, in order to provide reference for further research on the treatment of T2DM.
