Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupotomy in treating cervical spinal hypertension, and to investigate the pathogenesis of it. Methods Sixty-two cases of patients diagnosed as cervical hypertension in General Hospital of Armed Police Forces from February 2014 to December 2016 were collected and divided into two groups in accordance with the random number table, each group had 31 cases. The experimental group was treated with the acupotomy therapy every three days, 2 times a week, for 8 times. The control group was treated with acupuncture, once a day, 7 times were as a course, total for 4 courses. The changes of blood pressure of the two groups before and after treatment were observed, and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated. Results There were no significant differences of systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). The systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment (P < 0.01), and the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.01). The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of cervical hypertensive disease by manipulation with acupotomy for cervical soft tissue can significantly release the blood pressure and cervical symptoms, the curative effect is definite.
