Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Jianpi Liqi Decoction on the adverse reactions of digestive system such as nausea, vomiting and constipation in the perichemotherapy period of malignant tumor. Methods Eighty patients with tumors scheduled for containing Cisplatin chemotherapy in the Second Department of Oncology of Chengdu First People′s Hospital from June 2016 to April 2017 were divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional antiemetic drugs, and the treatment group was given Jianpi Liqi Decoction in addition. The clinical efficacy, Karnofsky performance (KPS), and incidence and severity of adverse reactions in the digestive system were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 57.5% and 47.5%, respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). The KPS score of the treatment group after chemotherapy was significantly higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The effective rate of nausea and vomiting in the treatment group in 2-5 days after chemotherapy was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The constipation scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group in 1-5 days after chemotherapy, the differences were highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclusion Jianpi Liqi Decoction combined with conventional antiemetic drugs can more effectively alleviate the adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal vomiting and constipation caused by chemotherapy, and has high safety, which is beneficial to improve the quality of life of patients with malignant tumor after chemotherapy.
