Abstract:Objective To research clinical effect between head-low hip-high position and traditional position in the treatment of upper ureteral calculi. Methods 70 patients with upper ureteral calculi treated with ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy from January 2013 to January 2016 in Xuzhou Central Hospital were selected. The patients were divided into two groups: head-low hip-high position ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy group (experimental group, 35 cases) and traditional position holmium laser lithotripsy group (control group, 35 cases) according to random number table method. Operation time, postoperative hospital stay, stones up, surgical complications and gravel success between two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference on baseline data in addition to body mass index between two groups (P > 0.05). There were no significant difference between two groups in operation time, postoperative hospital stay, surgical complications, stone uptake (P > 0.05). The success rate of crushed stone in experimental group was higher than that in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion For the treatment of upper ureteral calculi, the success rate of head-low hip-high position is higher than that of traditional position without the improvement of other complications.
