Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between dioxins exposure and endometriosis, and to provide theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of disease. Methods From December 2016 to January 2019, 50 patients with pelvic pack block in Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Yangzhou were selected, and 25 patients with endometriosis confirmed by pathology after surgery were set as the case group, 25 patients without endometriosis were set as control group. The correlation between dioxins exposure and endometriosis was analyzed by means of homemade questionnaire survey, and blood specimens from patients were collected to detect dioxin levels of blood by Soxhlet extraction chromatography column purification-isotope dilution HRGC-HRMS, and those results were compared between the two groups. Results The proportion of people who cook regularly in case group were significantly higher than that in control group, the proportion of people who often eat duck and quail eggs in case group were lower than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The contents and the toxic equivalence of dioxins such as Polychlorinated Dibenzofura, 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzofuran (2,3,7,8-T4CDF), 1,2,3,7,8-Pentachlorodibenzofuran (1,2,3,7,8-P5CDF) and 2,3,4,7,8-Pentachlorodibenzofuran (2,3,4,7,8-P5CDF) in the blood of case group were significantly higher than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The association exits between dioxins exposure and endometriosis, and cooking regularly might be a risk factor for exposure dioxins for endometriosis.
