Bibliometric analysis of clinical pharmacists ward round in China

Abstract:Objective To investigate the situation and problems of the ward round of clinical pharmacist through literature analysis, to provide reference for clinical pharmacist ward round. Methods China Academic Journal, VIP Chinese scientific and technical journals database and Wanfang database were searched for related literatures from 1985 to 2015, and excel software was used for analysis. Results A total of 128 references were obtained. The number of the related papers showed a gradual growth trend year by year. According to Bradford's law, five kinds of journals were recognized as core area journals with 44 papers (34.4%). Most of the literature authors had intermediate professional titles. There were 87 tertiary hospitals, accounted for 80.6%, which was significantly higher than that of secondary hospitals. The main form of ward round was to follow physicians, followed by administrative multidisciplinary ward round and independent ward round by pharmacists. 66 literature (51.6%) belong to the theory literature, 47 literature (36.7%) belong to the practice analysis literature and 15 literature (11.7%) were summarizes researches. Conclusion The clinical pharmacist ward round work in recent years has made some progress, particularly after 2008. However, there are obvious development imbalance between different hospitals and different regions, the research level needs to be improved, and the independent ward round by clinical pharmacists is not enough, normalization of the ward round needs to be strengthened.
