Abstract:Objective To understand the relationship between self-directed learning ability and first aid ability of non-medical technical secondary school students, and to take corresponding measures for future first aid trainers. Methods From January 2017 to January 2018, a total of 610 non-medical secondary vocational school students in Zhaoqing of Guangdong Province were investigated by self-directed learning disposition scale and first aid ability questionnaire. Results The self-directed learning ability was (164.9±26.3)points, and the total score of first aid ability was (41.2±2.9)points. The self-directed learning ability could independently explain 23.3% of the total variation of first aid ability (P < 0.05). Conclusion The self-directed learning ability and first aid ability of non-medical technical secondary school students are in the lower middle level, and the self-directed learning ability is positively correlated with the first aid ability.
