Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Jiawei Liujunzi Decoction on reducing blood uric acid (UA) level and safety in patients with hyperuricemia. Methods Sixty-four patients with hyperuricemia diagnosed as hyperlipidemia of spleen deficiencyand dampness obstruction syndrome were selected from December 2016 to December 2017 in Beijing Fangshan District Hospital. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 32 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine living and dietary guidance. The treatment group was treated with Jiawei Liujunzi Decoction on the basis of the control group. The improvement of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, UA, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (CREA) levels, clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results After treatment, both groups′ traditional Chinese medicine syndromes scores decreased (P < 0.01), the total score of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of the treatment group was significantly less than the control group, and the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01); UA level in the treatment group was significantly lower than that before treatment, the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01), and the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01); there was no significant change in ALT, AST, BUN, CREA levels before and after treatment in the two groups (P > 0.05). The total effective rate of the treatment group was highly significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). The incidence of adverse reactions was low in the two groups, and the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of hyperuricemia with Jiawei Liujunzi Decoction can reduce the UA level, and it is safe. It is worthy of clinical application.
