Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of magnesium valproate on serum total bilirubin (TBIL), albumin, inflammatory factor level and quality of life in patients with bipolar affective disorder. Methods The clinical data of 100 patients with bipolar affective disorder admitted in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Brain Hospital from August 2017 to July 2018 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into control group and observation group according to different treatment methods, each group had 50 cases. The patients in the control group were treated with lithium carbonate, and the patients in the observation group were treated with magnesium valproate, to analyze the effect of the two groups after treatment. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the levels of tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF- α) and uric acid (UA) decreased, TBIL, serum albumin increased after treatment, and the levels of TNF- α and UA in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the serum albumin level of TBIL was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the scores of hamilton depression scale (HAMD), mania scale (BRMS) and health survey summary form (SF-36) were decreased, and the HAMD and BRMS scores of the patients in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the SF-36 score was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P ＜ 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The effect of magnesium valproate on bipolar affective disorder patients is obvious. It can improve the quality of life, reduce the condition of mania and depression, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions. It is worth popularizing and applying in clinic.
