Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with post-auricular injection of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate and Lidocaine Hydrochloride in the treatment of sudden hearing loss. Methods A total of 140 sudden hearing loss patients admitted to Hainan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2015 to November 2017 were selected as resarch subjects. They were divided into observation group (n = 70) and control group (n = 70) according to random number table method. The control group was treated with post-auricular injection of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate and 2% Lidocaine Hydrochloride, while the observation group was treated with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction on the basis of the control group. The clinical effects of the two groups were observed and compared. The pure tone threshold audiometry (PTA), hemorheology parameters and plasma homocysteine (Hcy) levels were measured before and after treatment. The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups during treatment were recorded. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the PTA of the two groups were significantly lower, and the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the differences were highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). After treatment, the blood rheology indexes [plasma viscosity, platelet aggregation rate, hematocrit] of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than the control group, the differences were highly statistically significant (P < 0.01); after treatment, the levels of Hcy in the two groups were lower than before treatment, the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the differences were highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with post-auricular injection of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate and Lidocaine Hydrochloride for the treatment of sudden hearing loss has significant clinical effects, which can improve plasma Hcy and hemorheology, and its safety is good. It is worthy of clinical application.
