Analysis of risk factors for hyperuricemia and gout

Abstract:Objective To explore and analyze the correlation between high risk factors of hyperuricemia and gout. Methods From April 2015 to April 2017, 90 cases of hyperuricemia patients and 90 cases of gout patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the hyperuricemia group and the gout group respectively, Logistic multivariate regression model was used to analyze the correlation between the occurrence of gout and obesity, liver function, blood lipid and other factors. Results Compared with the high uric acid group, the gout group had a higher proportion of male patients, higher proportion of patients with total cholesterol ≥5.72 mmol/L and triglycerin (TG) ≥1.71 mmol/L, and higher proportion of patients with high density lipoprotein cholesterol <0.91 mmol/L. The proportion of patients with low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) ≥3.37 mmol/L, apolipoprotein B ≥1.20 g/L and alanine aminotransferase ≥50 U/L was higher, and the difference were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in BMI and apolipoprotein A levels between the two groups (P > 0.05). The above factors were analyzed by Logistic multivariate regression, and it was found that male, TG ≥1.71 mmol/L, and LDL-C≥3.37 mmol/L could be considered as high risk factors for gout (OR = 2.05, 2.45, 3.12, respectively). Conclusion Men can be the main morbidity group of gout, and high TG and LDL-C can be the high risk factors of gout.
