Progress in diagnosis and treatment of child with anemia

Abstract:Anemia is a common clinical disease in child. Serious cases will affects the growth and development without being discovered, diagnosed and treated in time. The etiology of child anemia is complex. There are many differences in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of various types of anemia. Malnutritional anemia, especially iron deficiency anemia is the most common. The younger the age, the higher the incidence. At the community hospital, blood routine testing can give a preliminary diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia. Iron supplements can improve exsanguine conditin. If the treatment is invalid, and the diagnosis is unclear, we should consider the other typs of anemia, such as anemia of inflammation, rheumatic immune disease related anemia, cancer related anemia, hemolytic anemia and chronic disease, and the patient need to be transferred to the hospital specialized in hematology for correct diagnosis and prompt treatment. This paper described the research progress in the clinical prevalence, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of mulnutritional anemia, anemia of inflammation, rheumatic immune disease related anemia, cancer related anemia, hemolytic anemia, secondary anemia and provided a solid foundation for further studies of child anemia.
