Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Valsartan combined with Captopril in elderly hypertensive patients. Methods From February 2016 to January 2017, in Qinghai Province Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Specialist Hospital, 174 elderly hypertensive patients were selected, according to according to draw lots of serial number, they were divided into two groups, with 87 cases in each group. The patients in control group were treated with Valsartan, the patients in study group were treated with Valsartan combined with Captopril. The blood pressure, heart rate changes, incidence of adverse reactions, NIHSS scores and clinical effects in two groups were compared. Results The blood pressure in two groups after treatment were better than before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The blood pressure and heart rate in study group were better than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The NIHSS scores in two groups after 1 month were lower than before treatment, at 7 d after treatment, and the NIHSS scores in study group were lower than control group at 7 d, 14 d and 1 month after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of valsartan combined with Captopril in elderly hypertensive patients is effective, it can not only reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in elderly hypertensive patients, but also improve the NIHSS score and clinical efficacy of patients, and it can also improve the blood pressure and heart rate of patients.
