Pharmaceutical care performed by clinical pharmacists for one case of Salmonella Typhi bloodstream infection with suspected catheter associated infection

Abstract:Clinical pharmacists performed pharmaceutical care for one patient of Salmonella Typhi bloodstream infection with suspected catheter associated infection to provide clinical rational drug use. According to the basic condition of the patient, antibiotic resistance situation, the characteristics of anti-infection drugs, and so on, pharmacists assisted clinicians in formulating anti-infection treatment, and monitoring the curative effect and adverse reactions. The infection was effectively controlled, no obvious adverse drug reactions occurred, and the effectiveness and safety of the patient′s medication were improved.
