Abstract:Objective To explore clinical efficacy of treating maxillary protrusion deformity by titanium microscrew implant. Methods Clinical data of 100 cases with maxillary protrusion deformity in Department of Stomatology, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from February 2016 to February 2017 was analyzed. All the cases were divided into control group and observation group by different treating methods with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated by conventional anchorage method and the observational group was treated by titanium microscrew implant. The X-ray head shadow measurement difference after treatment were observed. Clinical efficacy and adverse reaction rate of the patients with maxillary protrusion deformity were compared. Results Before treatment, the U1-Y, SNB, U6-Y, U1-SN, ANB, U1-L1 of the two groups had no significant difference (P > 0.05). After treatment, U1-Y, U1-SN, ANB of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, U1-L1 of the two groups was higher than that before treatment. U1-Y, U1-SN, ANB in the observation group were lower than those in the control group and U1-L1 was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the adverse reaction rate was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The maxillary protrusion deformity patients treating by titanium microscrew implant has good improvement in clinical manifestation, and the efficacy is significant with few complications, which is worth clinical promotion.
