Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of Xiaoshuan Enteric-dissolution Capsules on nerve injury, cerebral blood perfusion, serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and serum homocysteine (Hcy) in convalescent patients with ischemic stroke. Methods Ninety-two convalescent patients with ischemic stroke admitted to the Department of Neurology of Wuhan Sixth Hospital from January to October 2017 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table, they were divided into the observation group and the control group. Forty-six patients in the control group were treated with conventional Western medicine, and forty-six patients in the observation group were treated with Xiaoshuan Enteric-dissolution Capsules on the basis of the treatment in the control group. After 4 weeks of treatment, the cerebral blood flow perfusion [peak systolic velocity (PSV), mean velocity (TMV), resistance index (RI)], nerve injury, [ubiquitin carboxyl terminal hydrolase - 1 (UCH L1), neuron specific enolization enzyme (NSE) and glial fibrillar acidic protein (GFAP), called S100B protein (called S100B)], Hcy and CRP levels, changes of two groups were observed, clinical curative effect was counted, medication safety during treatment was compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, PSV and TMV levels in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment (all P < 0.05), RI levels were significantly lower than those before treatment (all P < 0.05), and the improvement of the above cerebral blood perfusion indexes in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group (all P < 0.05). After treatment, UCH-L1, NSE, GFAP and S100B levels in both groups were significantly lower than before treatment (all P < 0.05), and the above nerve injury indexes in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P < 0.05). Serum CRP and Hcy levels in both groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05), and CRP and Hcy levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05); blood routine, urine routine, stool routine, liver and kidney function, electrocardiogram, electrolyte were not significantly abnormal during the treatment of the two groups, and no serious adverse reactions occurred. Conclusion Xiaoshuan Enteric-dissolution Capsules can significantly improve cerebral blood perfusion, inhibit the expression of serum Hcy and CRP, reduce inflammatory injury of brain tissue, optimize nerve function, and help improve the degree of nerve function defect in the convalescent period of ischemic stroke, and promote the outcome of the disease.
