Abstract:Diabetic foot is one of the serious chronic complications of diabetic mellitus. It belongs to refractory wound. Diabetic foot is characterized by high disability rate, high cost and long course of disease, which imposes a heavy burden on patients, families and society. It is also a difficult point in current clinical treatment. In recent years, the application of vacuum sealing drainage in diabetic foot treatment has become a research hotspot at home and abroad, which can regulate inflammatory response, reduce vascular permeability, improve microcirculation, reduce matrix metalloproteinase activity in wound granulation tissue, and stimulate various cell proliferation, release of related factors, increase of gene expression, enhancement of secretion of substance P from peripheral nerve terminals and expression of calcitonin-related gene peptides to promote the healing of diabetic foot wounds. This article reviews the research progress of negative pressure drainage in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer, in order to better guide the clinical treatment of diabetic foot disease.
