Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of head self-weight backward traction with acupotomy in the treatment of cervicogenic headache. Methods One hundred and twenty cases of patients with cervicogenic headache admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical University from March 2016 to March 2017 were selected and randomly divided into observation group (60 cases) and control group (60 cases) by fliping coins. The observation group was given the treatment of bedside head self-weight backward traction with acupotomy, and the control group was given acupotomy, the course was 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, X-ray examination of lateral cervical spine was taken, and the cervical curvature values were measured to observe the changes of cervical curvature before and after treatment. Before treatment and after treatment for 4 weeks, 3 months, the visual analogue scale (VAS) was performed respectively, the clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed and statistical analysis was carried out. Results After treatment for 4 weeks, the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). After treatment for 3 months, the recurrence rate of cervicogenic headache of the observation group (3.33%) was lower than that of the control group (16.67%) (P < 0.01). After treatment for 4 weeks, 3 months, the VAS scores of the two groups were all lower than those before treatment, which of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). After treatment for 4 weeks, the cervical curvature values of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, which of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.01). After treatment for 4 weeks, the total change rate of cervical curvature in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclusion The effect of head self-weight backward traction with acupotomy in the treatment of cervicogenic headache is significant, and the recurrence rate is low, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
