Effect of Butylphthalide combined with Naoxintong Capsules on cerebral infarction and its effect on blood flow velocity of collateral circulation

Abstract:Objective To explore the curative effect of Butylphthalide combined with Naoxintong Capsules on cerebral infarction and its effect on blood flow velocity of collateral circulation. Methods One hundred and forty-seven patients with cerebral infarction admitted to Affiliated Haikou Hospital of Xiangya Medical College, Central South University and the Second People′s Hospital of Hunan Province from May 2015 to May 2018 were selected as the research subjects. The patients were divided into the control group (n = 73) and the study group (n = 74) according to random number table method. The control group was treated by Butylphthalide, and the study group was treated by Butylphthalide combined with Naoxintong Capsules. The clinical efficacy of the two groups after treatment was compared, the flow velocity of collateral circulation in the two groups [anterior cerebral artery (ACA), middle cerebral artery (MCA), posterior cerebral artery (PCA)], serum inflammatory factor level [interleukin (IL) -6, IL-10, C reverse protein (CRP)] before and after treatment were compared, the occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups during the treatment were observed. Results After treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the study group was 97.30%(72/74), which was significantly higher than 82.19%(60/73) of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The blood flow velocity of ACA and PCA of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, which of the study group was lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05); the blood flow velocity of MCA was higher than that before treatment, which of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-6, IL-10 and CRP of the two groups decreased compared with those before treatment, which of the study group were lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment (P > 0.05). Conclusion Butylphthalide combined with Naoxintong Capsules is effective in the treatment of cerebral infarction. It can effectively improve the flow velocity of collateral circulation, reduce the level of inflammatory factors and does not increase the incidence of adverse reactions. It has a high clinical application value.
