Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of integrating medical resources between tertiary public hospital and community hospital, and to provide reference for the new round of healthcare reform. Methods A self-made community hospital patient satisfaction questionnaire was used as a research tool. A total of 100 patients in the youth apartment community hospital were randomly selected before the integration of medical resources from January to March 2017 and after the integration of medical resources from January to March 2018, and their first consultation hospital, medical service satisfaction and medical experience were investigated. Results Compared with the pre-integration, the patients′ satisfaction with overall medical services, diagnosis and treatment technology, range of available drugs, types of medical treatment, health guidance, doctors′ attitudes and the treatment process all improved. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); there was no significant change in the service attitude, waiting time and satisfaction of the patients in the medical and technical departments, and the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). Comparing the overall probability distribution of community patients′ first hospital choice before and after integration of medical resources, 29.6% of patients chose community hospitals as the first consultation hospital after integration. Before the integration, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). In the aspect of medical experience, 4.5% of patients have increased trust in community doctors, 56.1% of patients thought that medical expenses has been reduced, 68.4% of patients thought that medical treatment has been shortened, and 49.0% of patients thought that "expensive and hard to visit doctors" problem has been solved to a great extent. Conclusion The integration of medical resources in public hospitals and community hospitals has effectively improved the ability and level of primary medical services, guided patients to seek medical care reasonably, and improved the patient′s medical experience.
