Methods A retrospective analysis method was used to analyze the data of 1070 ADR reports collected in Xiaogan central hospital, Shiyan people′s hospital and Jingzhou first people′s hospital in Hubei province. Results In 1070 ADR cases, patients ≥60 years got more ADR (367, 34.30%); intravenous infusion got the most (689 cases, 64.39%); severe ADR was 48 cases (4.49%); all ADRs involving 205 kinds of drugs and anti-infection drugs caused the most ADR (785, 55.83%), followed by traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine preparations (214, 15.22%); the clinical manifestations in ADR were varied, with the most damage to skin and accessories (563, 46.99%). Conclusion The occurrence of ADR is related to many factors, focusing on ADR susceptible drug and population, choosing the appropriate way to administer the drugs, paying close attention to the patient′s situation, and making full use of nurse ADR monitoring function to continuously promote the quality of ADR monitoring and nursing work.
