Abstract:Objective To study the clinical efficacy of Guan Yanling Granules in the treatment of non-erosive reflux disease (NERD) with syndrome of stomach heat and qi stagnation. Methods Eighty-six NERD patients with syndrome of stomach heat and qi stagnation admitted to Yancheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2015 to January 2017 were selected. According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into the observation group and the control group, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Omeprazole Capsules, and the observation group was treated with Guan Yanling Granules on basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The treatment effect of TCM symptoms, changes in the scores of reflux disease questionnaires, scores of clinical symptoms (regurgitation, fullness of gastral cavity, dry and bitter taste, paraesthesia pharynges, chest distress and chest pain, annoyance and irritability, heartburn), adverse reactions, and the levels of serum Ghrelin and lipid peroxide (LPO) in the two groups were observed. Results After treatment, the RDQ scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the RDQ scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total effective rates of TCM symptoms in the observation group and the control group were 86.05% and 55.81%, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The serum Ghrelin levels of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, and the levels of LPO were significantly lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of clinical symptoms in the observation group were significantly lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05), in addition to dry and bitter taste, the other symptoms in the observation group had statistically significant differences compared with those of control group (P < 0.05). In the observation group, 2 cases had slight diarrhea, and 3 cases in the control group suffered from abdominal distention. Conclusion Guan Yanling Granules in the treatment of patients with NERD has significant effects and no obvious adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical attention.
