Application of ultrasound elastography and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in the evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer

Abstract:Objective To discuss the comparison of ultrasound elastography and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in the evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer. Methods A total of 55 patients with breast cancer in Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital of Taizhou City from January 2015 to January 2017 were selected, all patients underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy, ultrasound elastic imaging and ultrasound angiography were used in patients before and after the chemotherapy cycle, the differences between the imaging results and pathological results were compared, and the application of two kinds of examination regimen in the evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer were determined. Results There were not significant differences in ultrasound elastography, ultrasonography, and pathological results after 4 cycles of chemotherapy (P > 0.05). Compared with ultrasound elastography, there was no significant difference in the sensitivity and accuracy of CEUS (P > 0.05). Conclusion There is a high sensitivity and accuracy in the evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer with ultrasound elastography and contrast-enhanced ultrasound, and it is different in the evaluation of the direction and content. Combined with elastic imaging and ultrasound angiography in the clinical can improve the accuracy assessment of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer.
