Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of the intervention model based on mobile phone WeChat on the self-care ability and self-disclosure of patients after radical mastectomy. Methods A total of 268 breast cancer patients treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University from October 2018 to October 2019 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table, with 134 cases in each group. Both groups underwent radical mastectomy, the control group underwent conventional intervention after surgery, and the observation group underwent conventional intervention combined with mobile phone WeChat-based intervention after surgery. Before intervention and 3 months after intervention, the self-care ability (assessed by the self-care ability measurement scale [ESCA]) and self-disclosure status (assessed by the Jourard self-disclosure questionnaire [JSDQ]) were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of intervention, the ESCA and JSDQ scale scores and total scores of the two groups were higher than those before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The intervention model based on mobile phone WeChat can improve the self-care ability of patients with breast cancer after surgery and improve their self-disclosure.
