Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of subepithelial connective tissue on gingival recession and the changes of periodontal depth (PD), periodontal attachment loss (AL), gingival recession height and gingival thickness. Methods In this study, 39 cases (56 teeth) of patients with gingival recession admitted to Chengdu First People′s Hospital from January 2017 to January 2018 were used as prospective subjects. All patients were treated with subepithelial connective tissue flap. The clinical efficacy, PD, AL, gingival recession height and gingival thickness of the patients before and 6 months after surgery were recorded, and the data were processed by statistical software. Results Thirty-nine patients had 56 affected teeth, and the the total response rate was 96.43%, and the PD and AL values of the patients 6 months after surgery were lower than those before treatment, the gingival recession height was lower than that before treatment, and the gingival thickness was higher than that before treatment, showed statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion Subepithelial connective tissue has a good clinical effect in the treatment of gingival recession. It is worthy of promotion and application to improve PD, AL value, gingival recession height and gingival thickness.
