Abstract:The idea of “women are based on blood” sprouted in Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period. It was first put forward by Chen Ziming in Song dynasty, and was perfected and developed in the practice and research of doctors in the past dynasties. It is emphasized that “blood” plays an important role in the growth and development of women, the occurrence and development of diseases, and daily regulation. Only when the menstrual blood is adjusted, qi and blood are vigorous, and the essence blood is full, can the body be healthy and the special physiological functions such as menstruation, belt, fetus, birth and milk can be operated normally. Inadequate luteal function uterine bleeding is one of ovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding. In the process of theoretical research and clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine, although the name of abnormal uterine bleeding due to inadequate luteal function has not been clearly defined, the etiology and pathogenesis of uterine bleeding have been well understood, objective to explore the traditional Chinese medicine mechanism and medication principle of inadequate luteal function abnormal uterine bleeding, so as to provide new ideas, methods and research for clinical diagnosis and treatment of related gynecological diseases.
