Abstract:Objective To study the effect of nursing intervention on relieving pain in minimally invasive small incision thumb valgus correction. Methods Two hundred patients undertaking minimally invasive small incision thumb valgus correction were selected from January 2016 to May 2018 in Hebei Medical University Third Hospital. According to the random number table method, 200 patients were divided into control group and observation groups, with 100 cases in each group. The routine perioperative nursing intervention was performed in the control group, and comprehensive nursing was performed in the observation group. The functional score of hallux valgus angle, hallux-metatarsophalangeal joint function score, the score of pain, the score of comfort, the score of sleep quality, the score of psychological state, the score of life quality and nursing satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the hallux valgus angle in both groups decended compared with that before nursing (P < 0.05), and the functional score of the hallux valgus and metatarsophalangeal joint in both groups increased compared with that before nursing (P < 0.05). After nursing, the hallux valgus angle of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group (P < 0.05), and its bunions-metatarsophalangeal joint function score was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The scores of pain, sleep quality and mental state in the two groups after nursing were lower than those before nursing (P < 0.05), and the scores of life quality and comfort were higher than those before nursing (P < 0.05). After nursing, the scores of comfort and quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05), and the scores of pain, sleep quality and mental state were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion During the minimally invasive mini-incision correction of hallux valgus, comprehensive nursing can effectively relieve the pain, improve the comfort, improve the sleep quality, and improve the psychological state of the patients. It is beneficial to the recovery of the function of the hallux-metatarsophalangeal joint function and the improvement of life quality and the evaluation of nursing service.
