Abstract:Objective To analyze the pathogen distribution and immunological monitoring results of recurrent respiratory infection in 3-6 years old children in Tongzhou District. Methods A total of 135 children with recurrent respiratory infection admitted to Beijing Luhe Hospital, Capital Medical University ("our hospital" for short) from March 2015 to July 2017 were selected as the observation group, the samples of children′s secretions were extracted and pathogenic bacteria were cultured and identified, and the distribution of pathogenic bacteria was analyzed, another 87 healthy children carried physical examination in our hospital in the same period were selected as control group, the humoral immunity index, cellular immunity index and inflammatory cytokine level were compared between the two groups. Results Ninety-four pathogenic bacteria were detected in the observation group, Gram-positive bacteria accounted for 27.66%, Gram-negative bacteria accounted for 72.34%, detection rate of Gram-positive bacteria was significantly lower than that of Gram-negative bacteria(P < 0.01); there was no significant difference in immunoglobulin A (IgA) and C4 between the two groups (P > 0.05), the immunoglobulin M (IgM), immunoglobulin G (IgG) and C3 in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P < 0.01); there was no significant difference in CD4+ between the two groups (P > 0.05), the CD3+ and CD4+/CD8+ in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group, and the CD8+ was significantly higher than control group (P < 0.01); the interleukin-4 (IL-4), IL-6 and IL-10 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the IL-12 was significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.01). Conclusion 3-6 years old children with recurrent respiratory tract infection have low immunologic function, Gram-negative bacteria are the main pathogens of infection, according to the detection results of pathogenic bacteria and immunologic function, appropriate antibiotics or immunologic enhancers should be selected to treat the children and improve their prognosis.
