Clinical effect of Tangwei′an Decoction combined with acupuncture in treating diabetic gastro paresis

Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of Tangwei′an Decoction combined with acupuncture in treating diabetic gastro paresis (DGP). Methods From January 2016 to December 2017, 60 patients with DGP with syndrome of Spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation treated in South Branch, Guang′anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medicial Science were selected and divided into treatment group and control group by random number table, with 30 cases in each group. On the basis of conventional treatment, the control group was treated with Tangwei′an Decoction and the treatment group was treated by Acupuncture combined with Tangwei′an Decoction, they were treated for 12 weeks. The levels of FBG, 2h-PPG, HbA1c, TC, TG, gastrin and curative effect of TCM syndromes in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the curative effect on TCM symptoms in the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The levels of FBG, 2h-PPG, HbA1c, TC, TG and gastrin in the two groups were decreased, and those in the treatment group were lower compared with the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion Tangwei′an Decoction combined with acupuncture can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with DGP, with remarkable curative effect.
