Abstract:Objective To study the influence of 5P manual massage on breasts to eliminate postoperative galactostasis after cesarean section. Methods From January to November 2016, 200 cases of patients underwent cesarean section in Liutie Central Hospital of Liuzhou City were selected and divided into massage group (n = 100) and control group (n = 100). The control group was received routine breast care, and the massage group was implemented 5P manual massage on the basis of breast massage. The lactation yield, deposition rate and breast-feeding situation were compared between the two groups. Results Postpartum 48, 72, 96 h, the lactation yield of massage group were significantly higher than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Postpartum 72 h and 96 h, the incidence of breast deposition in massage group were significantly lower than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). 5 days postpartum, the rate of breast feeding adequacy of the parturient in the massage group was obviously higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion 5P manual massage can effectively improve the amount of lactation yield, prevent the incidence of galactostasis, and improve breast feeding in cesarean section. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
