Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of plasma lipoprotein associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) determination in patients with cerebral arterial thrombosis. Methods 112 cases with cerebral arterial thrombosis and 88 cases with hemorrhagic stroke were divided into the ischemia group and hemorrhage group, who were diagnosed in Neurology Department of Cangzhou People's Hospital ("our hospital" for short) from January 2015 to January 2016. At the same time in our hospital 200 cases of healthy people were selected as the control group. Blood lipid levels and Lp-PLA2 were detected by Roche COBAS8000 biochemical immunometer. The Lp-PLA2 levels of cerebral arterial thrombosis patients with different degree of nervous functional defects and different cerebral infarction areas were analyzed. Results There were no significant differences in age, gender distribution among the three groups (P > 0.05). The BMI, TC, TG, Lp-PLA2, LDL-C of the ischemia group were higher than those of the hemorrhage group and the control group, while the HDL-C level was lower than that of the hemorrhage group and the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The indexes of the hemorrhage group and the control group had no significant differences (P > 0.05). In the patients with cerebral arterial thrombosis, the Lp-PLA2 levels increased with the increasing cerebral infarction areas and degree of nervous functional defects (P < 0.05). Conclusion There are correlations between degree of nervous functional defects, cerebral infarction areas and the Lp-PLA2 levels in patients with cerebral arterial thrombosis. Lp-PLA2 detection can judge the severity of patients, which has early warning function in patients with cerebral arterial thrombosis.
